Xi is scheduled to arrive in Pretoria, the capital, on Monday - following his trips to the United Arab Emirates, Senegal and Rwanda - on his third state visit to the African country.

Xi also said that in the past the two countries have had "successful precedents" for resolving their trade differences.
Xi said China has actively developed global partnerships and expanded the convergence of interests with other countries.
