The meeting was attended by Premier Li Keqiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and deputy head of the commission, and Vice President Wang Qishan, also member of the commission.
The minister is a member of the delegation that visited China with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to attend the 22nd China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting last week.

The ministry said it plans to work with the National Forestry and Grassland Administration to research legislative possibilities for banning animal cruelty and to improve regulations and protocols related to animal protection, adding that it will be an "arduous and extended" work that requires systematic planning and efforts from the whole society.
The meetings have focused recently on automated vehicles and infrastructure development.
The measures that have been taken include VAT relief for small businesses; extending the loss carry-forward period from five years to eight years for sectors severely hit by COVID-19, providing 2.85 trillion yuan (1.3 billion) of low-cost lending for smaller businesses, and deferring over 1 trillion yuan of principal or interest payments for more than 1.1 million micro, small and medium-sized businesses.

The meeting, presided over by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, determined that the country will adhere to a proactive fiscal policy and a prudent monetary policy to maintain stable and healthy economic development, according to a Xinhua News Agency report.
The ministry will roll out more measures to ensure reductions for this year exceed that in 2017, Li said, citing differentiated toll fees and railway-shipping coordinated transport.
