The draft law on national anthem has been submitted to the bimonthly session of China's top legislative body, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, for the first reading now.
The drive by civil rights groups and others to do away with Confederate monuments gained momentum after an avowed white supremacist murdered nine African-Americans at a Charleston, South Carolina, church in 2015. The shooting rampage ultimately led to the removal of a Confederate flag from the statehouse in Columbia.
The event was held online on Friday and Saturday, with venture capitalists, investors, dealmakers and business elites from around the world taking part. Its main venue was in Qingdao, East China's Shandong province.
The employment forum attracted several hundreds of students and graduates of various majors, such as the Chinese language, commerce and fish farming.
