Xi made the remarks in a message delivered to his Senegalese counterpart Macky Sall, who is also the African co-chair of the FOCAC, on Sunday. The president also extended his congratulations on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the forum. The message was made public on Wednesday.
Xi pointed out that the FOCAC Beijing summit held in September last year ushered in a new era of China-Africa relations.
Wuhan reported a total of six new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday and Sunday. All the patients are from the Sanmin residential community. The community had previously reported 20 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
